Sewage sludge incineration

Sewage sludge incineration

The combustion of biomass takes place via the 3 process steps pyrolysis, gasification and combustion, whereby depending on the process the process steps take place sequentially separately or simultaneously in a reactor. Fluidized bed combustion is most widespread for the centralized mono-incineration of sewage sludge, but other technologies are also used for decentralized systems. The multi-stage cleaning of the flue gas can be carried out dry, wet or as a combination process, depending on the requirements.
